late addition but this is also an example of the necessity of solidarity. the marginalization of trans athletes and cis women with higher testosterone levels is a confluence of forms of bigotry, neither of which exist within a vacuum and therefore must be responded to collectively
This is also an issue of misogynoir and intersexism. Caster Semenya, Margaret Wambui, Francine Niyonsaba, Christine Mboma, and Beatrice Masilingi (which afaik is every single woman banned from the Olympics for high testosterone) are ALL black African women, and Caster Semenya is intersex.
@downwiththemouse on tiktok, a black nonbinary person, recently posted a tiktok about misogynoir in the olympics, as well as several about how gender roles are made to fit white people, how black women are seen as masculine, and how all people of color but especially those who are trans and nonbinary are affected by it.

"its unfair for cis women with higher testosterone levels or trans women to compete!! they have better chances because of attributes they couldn't choose!! it's unfair!!!!!" putting aside that trans women don't dominate womens sports nearly as much as people claim, sports ARE unfair. as a rule!
i mean for fucks sake michael phelps has a rare mutation that makes him produce half as much lactic acid as a normal person, dramatically reducing his fatigue, as well as an abnormally wide armspan helping his swimming technique. no one in the NBA chose their height either.
the main difference between these groups of people and those who are being outcast for their own unchosen physical advantages (if they even have them) is that its more socially accepted for a guy to be tall or have wider armspan than for a woman to be trans or have higher testosterone levels. its the very opposite of anything remotely resembling promoting fairness in sport; its responding to latent, unavoidable unfairness with an artificial form of it which is in every way worse
